#DominicanRepublic 🇩🇴 #BDS_LaborAlert: Salary Increase and Adjustments for the Private Sector

In 2023, the National Salary Committee (NSC) established a  19% salary increase for the non-sectorized private sector through Resolution 01-2023. This increase came into effect on April 1st of 2023, and was divided into two parts: an initial 15% and an additional 4%,which became effective from February 1st, 2024.

 
Starting this February, employees of large companies who earn a salary of 24,150 Dominican pesos will experience a 4% increase, thus completing the original 19% increase approved by the NSC, resulting in a total salary of 24,990 Dominican pesos.

Employees of medium-sized companies earning 22,138 Dominican pesos will see their salary increase to 22,908 Dominican pesos, completing the 19% increment.

As for small companies paying a salary of 14,835 Dominican pesos, they will need to adjust their employees' salaries to 15,351 Dominican pesos in February 2024, in accordance with the approved 19%.

Employees of micro-enterprises, currently receiving a salary of 13,685 Dominican pesos, will see an increase to 14,161 Dominican pesos because of the indicated 19% raise.
