#DominicanRepublic 🇩🇴 #BDS_LaborAlert: May 1st Holiday Rescheduled for the Following Monday

Through an official statement, the Ministry of Labor reminded the public that Thursday, May 1, the date on which "International Workers' Day" is commemorated, will be a regular working day nationwide.

This is due to the fact that the corresponding holiday has been moved to Monday, May 5, in accordance with Act No. 139-97, which governs the movement of public holidays in the country.

Therefore, both the public and private sectors must return to their regular duties on Tuesday, May 6.

The Ministry emphasized that this provision is mandatory for all workplaces in the country, in strict compliance with national legislation.
