More than 250,000 workers in the hotel, casino, bar, and restaurant sectors in the Dominican Republic will benefit from a historic wage increase announced by the Government through the Ministry of Labor and the National Salary Committee (CNS in Spanish).
This measure provides for a 30% and 25% increase in the minimum wage. This adjustment will be implemented in two phases: the first will take effect on June 1, 2025, and the second will be effective during 2026.
The increase aims to acknowledge the work of those involved in one of the most dynamic and vital sectors of the national economy.
