#DominicanRepublic 🇩🇴 #BDS_Informs: Corpus Christi Holiday Will Not Be Observed on a Different Date

The Corpus Christi religious holiday, which this year will be observed on Thursday, June 4, 2026, will remain a public holiday and will not be moved to a different date, pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 139-97, which governs the transfer of public holidays in the Dominican Republic.

Accordingly, both public sector entities and private sector companies must comply with the provisions applicable to this holiday, with regular business operations resuming on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Organizations are encouraged to take the foregoing into account when properly planning their operations and ensuring compliance with the rules governing working hours and compensation applicable to public holidays.

Do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions regarding the management of public holidays or other labor-related matters. Our BDS Asesores Dominican Republic team is available to assist you.
