#Panamá 🇵🇦 #BDS_LaborAlert: Japan Exempts Panamanian Citizens from Visa Requirement

In commemoration of the 120th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Panama, it was announced on Thursday, January 11, 2024, that all Panamanian citizens wishing to enter Japan will be exempt from the requirement to obtain an "Entry Visa."

This change in entry requirements for Panamanians was announced by Japan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yoshifumi Tsuge. This decision strengthens the commitment of both nations to promote connectivity and the development of friendly and productive relations among their citizens, benefiting both tourism flow and commercial relationships.

The new guideline to enter the Japanese territory will become effective on April 1 of the current year. Meanwhile, the Republic of Panama had waived the requirement for Japanese citizens to obtain an "Entry Visa" since 2012.
