The Government of Costa Rica has officially sanctioned collective holidays for public servants during the days of March 25th, 26th, and 27th, 2024, in addition to the Holy Week holidays.
This measure, endorsed by the Office of the President of the Republic, the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Policy, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, was established through Directive 037-MIDEPLAN-MTSS.
It should be noted that essential services will continue to operate normally during this period to ensure the provision of emergency care and the continuity of critical operations.
The Ministry of Governance and Police, along with other agencies responsible for public safety and emergency response, will make the necessary adaptations to ensure that these services are not affected by these collective holidays.
