#CostaRica 🇨🇷 #LaborAlertBDS: Father’s Day is NOT a holiday in Costa Rica

Alertas y SQ 2020_Mesa de trabajo 1 copia 4

Next June 21th is not a holiday in Costa Rica, at least not yet.

The truth is that there is a bill being discussed at the Legislative Assembly intended to assign Father’s Day with the same features as Mother’s Day. If this happens, Father’s Day would be a mandatory pay holiday; for the time being, however, there is NO obligation by the employer in this connection.

Father’s Day in Costa Rica is commemorated every year on the third Sunday of June.
