Congress approves another version of bill in first debate.
Deputies approve in first reading the observance of holidays on Mondays.
This is about case 21,941, which received 46 votes in favor and none against; therefore, there is a second reading next week, for passage to become law of the Republic.
When the bill passes, the holidays corresponding to the 25th of July, 2nd of August, and the 15th of August of 2020 shall be observed on the Monday following each holiday; and the holidays corresponding to the 15th of September and the 1st of December of 2020 shall be observed on the Monday before each holiday.
The holidays corresponding to the 11th of April, 1st of May, 25th of July, and the 15th of August of 2021 shall be observed on the Monday following each holiday; and the holidays corresponding to the 15th of September and the 1st of December of 2021 shall be observed on the Monday before each holiday, for the purpose of promoting internal travels and reactivating the economy in the all the regions of the country.
Official commemoration activities corresponding to a holiday shall be carried out on the exact date of the holiday.
