On Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Legislative Assembly approved the “Special Regime to Incentivize and Facilitate High-Value Investments in El Salvador” for individuals or legal entities that relocate their funds or assets to El Salvador in an amount of at least USD $2 billion.
Beneficiaries under this regime will be exempt from income tax, real estate transfer tax, municipal taxes, and customs duties on imports related to investment activities.
Eligible beneficiaries may be foreign nationals or Salvadorans citizens who have resided abroad for at least one year.
