#Honduras 🇭🇳 #BDS_LaborAlert: New SIHCAL System to Facilitate Compliance with Labor Regulations in Honduras

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Honduras has announced the implementation of the Honduran Labor Cases System (SIHCAL in Spanish) through Agreement SETRASS No. 625-2023. The objective of this system is to streamline the monitoring and compliance with labor regulations in the country and promote formal employment.

The SIHCAL, created to modernize and enhance labor procedures in Honduras, allows employers and workplaces to register electronically and efficiently in the Simplified National Employers Registry (RNSP). This registration must be completed within six months from the effective date of the agreement.

The system, already in effect, aims to support the linking, registration, and electronic documentation of the National Simplified System of Employers, facilitating the tracking of required legal procedures in labor matters.

As outlined in the "Labor Inspection Act," any individuals or legal entities engaged in economic activities, including industrial and commercial activities, employing individuals in accordance with current labor legislation, are required to register in the RNSP. This includes companies, contractors, private employment agencies, and public entities.

If encountering difficulties accessing the online system, note that registration can also be completed through the Regional and Local Offices of the Ministry of Labor.

The implementation of SIHCAL represents a significant step towards modernization and efficiency in labor procedures in Honduras, contributing to compliance with labor regulations and the formalization of employment in the country.
