#CostaRica 🇨🇷 #BDS_Informs: Learn About the 2025 Holidays

Holidays are legally designated dates that allow employees to take part in celebrations of historical, religious, or culturally significant events for our country and to rest from their workday, rather than work as usual, except in exceptional cases listed in Articles 150 and 151 of the Labor Code.

In 2025, no holiday will be moved — initially — unless a contrary provision is issued.* However, because some holidays fall on Mondays or Fridays, there will be six long weekends.

Below is a list of the 2025 holidays in Costa Rica and their payment terms, as set out in Article 148 of the Labor Code:
