This provision will apply on **Friday, May 2.** This leave does not apply to public servants whose **collective bargaining agreements** establish the observance of the holiday on a different date. Likewise, officials from institutions that provide **essential public services** or that have scheduled, non-deferrable activities are also excluded from this benefit. In such cases, the competent authorities must organize the necessary shifts to ensure the **continuity of services.** With respect to the Judicial Branch, the leave applies to officials and employees in both judicial and administrative areas, except for duty courts and security personnel who, due to the nature of their duties, must continue to provide uninterrupted services.
