On Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Legislative Assembly approved the ***“Special Regime to Incentivize and Facilitate High-Value Investments in El Salvador”*** for individuals or legal entities that relocate their funds or assets to El Salvador in an amount of at least **USD $2 billion**.

Beneficiaries under this regime will be exempt from **income tax, real estate transfer tax, municipal taxes, and customs duties on imports** related to investment activities.

Eligible beneficiaries may be **foreign nationals or Salvadorans** **citizens** who have resided abroad for at least one year.
