#CostaRica 🇨🇷 #APriori_Alert: Deadline Extended for Mandatory Companies to Register an Official Email Address for Notifications

The National Registry Office of Costa Rica has issued Directive DPJ-001-2026, extending the deadline for the registration of an official email address as the official means for receiving notifications until September 5, 2026.

This decision was made in response to a significant backlog of documents pending review, which has surged to approximately 300% of the National Registry’s normal processing capacity. Additionally, 78% of the companies required to comply with this obligation have not yet completed the registration of their email address.

Directive DPJ-001-2026 was published on May 28, 2026, in Official Gazette No. 97.

We remain available to assist you with this process if you have not yet completed your registration. Contact us.
